Bastet:
Welcome to our celebration of Imbolc. This is the first of the spring festivals. Imbolc is associated with the color of white and purification.Tonight is a festival of lights, representing the Goddess Bridgit. She who has a sacred flame buring in the land of Eire. For a time it was extinguished by Christians now, it burns ever so brightly again. This is the pre-spring in which mother, Bridgit awakes and stirs with new growth for the spring season. Bridgit is also known for inspiring poets and metal working. She is both Mother and Crone. Lugh is the young lord who was born on Yule. As he grows in strength does the sun return to us once more. As the sun waxes so does Lugh and he becomes her consort once more.
Sheshat : Tonight is also a new moon in which we celebrate. New beginnings. A perfect time to settle and ease your mind for what you want to plant for this coming spring. Tonight is also the first day in the Chinese year. It is the year of the dragon. We have welcome dragons of each element and hope you will join us in celebrating this magnificent year of the Dragon.
Tonight we shall wake up Mother and charge our dragon stones that are being passed about to you. These stones have been cleanse and charged. Please take one and put it in your pocket or hand. Rick asks, “ How shall we wake up mother?”
I am glad you asked. To Mother Earth our feet touch her skin; sometimes I think we tickle her. Since she is asleep, the best way or loving way I know to wake up any one is with a message. I know we are in one spot but just imagine that this spot is the most needed spot to unease the knots of her long sleep and see the knot unravel other knots then she shall wake up even happier. We shall stomp on the ground gently at first then a little faster and then a little slower so we don’t leave her with a jolt! While we chat what is in the scrolls that was passed before you came into circle this evening.
The chant goes like this:
Dragons of air, fire, water, earth
Help us wake-up Mother Earth
With the finger count and the hand like and orchestra will the stomping and chanting will be directed.
Bastet: Tonight we celebrate the festival of the lights with white candles that will be passed around. Share with us the sacred fire from Bridget’s Flame from Ireland that has graced and been with us since last year.
Bastet:
Any other magick for the evening?
Face the Altar
Great Rite:
The Sun is born
The Earth awakens to its passion
The Sun shines through the heavens
And the Waters are drawn to it
To fall again to Earth
And thus completes the cycle
Spear to Cauldron
Spirit to Flesh
Man to Woman
Sun to Earth
Pass the bread
Pass the wine
Expand circle always turning to your right.=)
Sheshat: The circle has been expanded. Feast and be Merry!
