THE BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF FLUORIDES
1. Fluoride exposure disrupts the synthesis of collagen and leads to the breakdown of collagen in bone, tendon, muscle, skin, cartilage, lungs, kidney and trachea.
2. Fluoride stimulates granule formation and oxygen consumption in white blood cells, but inhibits these processes when the white blood cell is challenged by a foreign agent in the blood.
3. Fluoride depletes the energy reserves and the ability of white blood cells to properly destroy foreign agents by the process of phagocytosis. As little as 0.2 ppm fluoride stimulates superoxide production in resting white blood cells, virtually abolishing phagocytosis. Even infinitesimal amounts of fluoride (below 1 ppm), may seriously depress the ability of white blood cells to destroy pathogenic agents.
4. Fluoride confuses the immune system, causing it to attack the body's own tissues and increases the tumor growth rate in cancer-prone individuals.
5. Fluoride inhibits blood antibody formation.
6. Fluoride depresses thyroid activity.
7. Fluorides have a disruptive effect on various tissues.
8. Fluoride promotes development of bone cancer.
9. Fluorides cause premature aging.
10. Fluoride ingestion from mouthrinses and dentifrices in children is extremely hazardous to biological development, lifespan and general health.
(I am quoting the references for this one, since it is the most important, IMO.)

www.primenet.com/perceptions --- Notes:
The article states that calcium fluoride, which is used in some natural toothpastes, is 80 times *less* toxic than sodium fluoride.
Distilled water does not contain fluoride. Filtered drinking water usually contains fluoride depending on the source. The form of fluoride added to drinking water is usually either sodium fluoride, sodium silicofluoride, or calcium fluoride.
"The man responsible for fluoridation, Oscar Ewing, was a lawyer for Alcoa Aluminum. Alcoa was seeking ways to get rid of toxic fluorine byproducts from its manufacturing process. Dumping the toxic fluorides into the water supply seemed to be a "solution." Ewing, who was later appointed director of the U.S. Public Health Service, allowed this to happen...."

THE BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF FLUORIDES [whole list of fluoride dangers snipped] The main point is HOW MUCH FLUORIDE is needed for these deleterious effects compared to the amount of fluoride supplied in naturally and/or manmade fluoridated drinking water. How much fluoride is absorbed from the water? What are the fluoride concentrations in the body tissues of people who drink such water, compared to the fluoride concentrations that cause harm?
If you don't insist on getting quantitative answers, then you are a natural born fool. I can prove that water is a death-causing compound, if you don't ask me for quantitation.
