Glycerine & Rosewater cleansing cream
Most recipes for creams follow this procedure. Waxes are melted in one container while oils are warmed in another. All ingredients should be about the same temperature when you mix them together or the mixture may curdle. You can substitute any suitable herbal infusion for the rosewater.
4 tbsp (60ml) lanolin 2fl oz (50ml) almond oil 1 tbsp (15 ml) glycerine 1/8 tsp (0.65ml) borax 3 tbsp (45 ml) rosewater 1 tsp (5 ml) zinc oxide ointment 6 drops essential oil of rose
1. Melt lanolin & gently heat almond oil & glycerine together Slowly pour oil & glycerine mixture into lanolin, beating constantly
2. Dissolve borax in warmed rosewater & gradually add to the lanolin and oil misture, beating all the time. Leave to cool
3. When cool and creamy, beat in the zinc, oxide and rose oil. Sthingy into prepared jars and label
