Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) the dried flowers of the perennial chamomile plant
Used for: · Upset stomach · Heartburn, indigestion, colic, acid reflux · Use as a relaxant; it has mild sedative properties Available in: Extract, oil, whole dried flowers and prepared tea bags
Herb/drug interactions: No known interactions
When buying: Look for chamomile products that are pure, 100% chamomile.
Warning: Chamomile tea is very safe; however, large dosages might cause stomach upset.
DOSAGES
Adults: The easiest and most effective dosage is a good cup of chamomile tea. To prepare a tea, I let the chamomile flowers or tea bag steep in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes before pouring.
Children under 10: Same as above
