Micro-Cosmic Orbit
As you do this exercise, breathe in deeply while moving the energy down the front channels, and exhale completely while moving the energy up the back channels to the soft pallet. The major Yin (female) meridian is the functional channel which runs from the tip of the tongue to the perineum. The major Yang (male) meridian is the governor channel from the perineum to the soft palate. When linked, these two meridians form the Micro-Cosmic Orbit, a most effective clearing of the chakra centers and energy systems of the body. The thirteen point circuit begins at the navel on the Functional channel.
Focus your inner vision at the navel on the front side of the spine. Focusing your attention at the navel activates the energy. Form the energy into a white ball about 2" in diameter. Take a few deep breaths before you begin to move the energy ball through the circuits.
Shift your focus to the second chakra center 2" below the navel. As your attention shifts, the energy ball will also shift.
Shift your focus to the perineum (Hui Yin) between the anus and genitals, allowing the energy to follow your intention. Tighten the hui yin muscles as the energy moves up the channel.
At this point, the governor channel begins and the energy moves up the back of the spine.
Focus on the coccyx, the ‘Passage to the Door of Life and Death’.
Bring the energy up to the point opposite the navel. Then up to the point opposite the solar plexus.
Move your focus to the top of the spine at the base of the skull.
Let the energy flow up to the crown area at the pineal gland. This is the eighth energy center for the MCO,
The next point is located at the pituitary gland, the third eye center.
The soft palate at the roof of the mouth is the end point for the upward flow of the Governor Meridian. This area has three positions for the tongue to connect which will produce different effects.
The tip of the tongue is the ‘switch’ to activate or connect these two major meridians at the upper portion of the body. Placing the tip of your tongue to the soft palate connects the two channels.
From this point, the energy moves down the front of the spine to the throat.
Move the energy down to the heart center at the sternum.
The solar plexus center at the midpoint between the navel and the sternum, is the final and thirteenth point in the MCO. After the energy has reached this point, return your attention to the navel which completes the Functional channel and the circuit of the Micro-Cosmic Orbit. Complete this circuit breathing a total of twelve times to move the energies throughout the system.
At first, you may have to do a complete breath at each point until you get used to moving the energy, but always do the circuit in three’s. The energy should soon flow smoothly and quickly and a complete circuit can be completed with each complete breath (in-out).
This practice may be done anywhere, anytime. It improves vitality, health and serenity. It removes energy blocks and enhances the natural well being of your mind, body, and soul.
